Attack on National Resistance Front Base in Baghlan; Taliban Reportedly Suffer Casualties.
The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan (NRF) has announced that three Taliban members and one civilian shepherd were killed during a clash in Baghlan province.
According to the NRF, the incident occurred on Thursday, December 25, 2025 (4 Jadi 1404), when Taliban forces launched an attack on one of the Front’s bases in the Darah-ye Kariz area of Brim village, in Nahrin district.
In a statement, the NRF said the attack was repelled by its fighters, resulting in the deaths of three Taliban members.
The statement adds that Taliban forces were forced to retreat after sustaining losses, and that a civilian shepherd was killed during their withdrawal.
The NRF emphasized that none of its fighters were harmed in the confrontation.
The National Resistance Front further stated that its forces remain in full control of their positions and continue to fight with high morale.
The Taliban have not commented on the incident so far. This comes as reports indicate a steady increase in Taliban casualties in northern provinces in recent weeks.
