
CAFA Cup begins; Afghanistan and Iran face off in first match.
The Central Asian Football Confederation (CAFC) will kick off today, Friday, August 29, in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.
On the first day of the competition, the Afghan national football team will face the Iranian national team at 4:30 PM Kabul time at the Hesar Central Stadium.
The Tajikistan Football Federation has announced that before the official start of the match, a special music program will be held and an electric car will be awarded to one of the spectators present at the stadium through a lottery.
This measure is intended to increase the excitement among the fans and attract more spectators.
The Afghan national team is in Group “B” of the competition with the teams of Iran, Tajikistan and India. The teams of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Oman are also present in Group “A”.
The Kafa Cup will continue until September 8, and the participating teams will compete for the championship title.
