Civil casualties in Taliban border clashes with Pakistan and Iran.
Local Taliban officials in Kandahar province have confirmed that a woman and a man were killed and two others were injured after a mortar shell hit the Spin Boldak area of Pakistani forces.
According to the Taliban security command in Spin Boldak, mortar shells hit the villages of Wardak and Set in the district.
Local sources added that ten others were injured in a traffic accident while trying to leave the scene of the conflict following the incident.
Border tensions between Pakistani forces and the Taliban have increased in recent days, repeatedly leading to clashes and civilian casualties.
In a separate incident, local sources in Parwan province said that an Afghan youth named Mohammad Salem was killed and eighteen others were injured in shooting by Iranian border guards in the border area of Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan province.
According to the sources, Mohammad Salem was a resident of the village of Mianeh-e-Guzhar in Jabal al-Saraj county in Parwan province.
