CNN Reveals New Details on Possible U.S. Attacks on Iran.
CNN has reported that former U.S. President Donald Trump, following the complete failure of preliminary talks with Tehran over curbing Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs, is seriously considering a large-scale new strike against the Iranian government—an action that could push the region into an unprecedented and dangerous phase.
According to sources familiar with the matter, this aggressive shift comes just weeks after Trump had placed military action on the table in response to the brutal and bloody suppression of nationwide protests in Iran.
The plans under consideration reportedly include direct U.S. airstrikes against leaders of the Islamic Republic, security officials accused of killing protesters, nuclear facilities, and key government institutions in Iran.
Sources told CNN that although Trump has not yet issued a final order, the deployment of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and its strike group to the region has increased Washington’s options for military action. Assessments are reportedly entering a more operational phase, signaling a significant rise in the likelihood of armed conflict.
Israeli media have also reported that Trump is considering measures that could potentially lead to regime change in Iran.
