Commemoration of the Fourteenth Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Abdul Muttalib Beg.

Fourteen years have passed since the martyrdom of Abdul Muttalib Beg, a respected and influential jihadi commander from Takhar Province, whose name is inseparably linked with the difficult years of jihad, resistance, and steadfastness of the people of this province.

Throughout critical periods, he stood firmly beside the people with sincerity, courage, and a strong sense of national duty, dedicating his life to the protection of civilians, the preservation of security, and the promotion of social stability.

Abdul Muttalib Beg was regarded not only as a military commander, but also as a trusted political and social figure. Alongside his role on the battlefield, he served in parliament, where he actively worked to resolve local disputes, support civilian populations, strengthen social cohesion, and prevent division.

He was widely known for his integrity, sense of responsibility, and adherence to ethical principles. Many residents of Takhar remember him as a commander who exercised authority not for personal ambition, but as a means of serving the people.

This well-regarded jihadi commander was ultimately martyred in the course of serving the people, when he was killed in a suicide attack carried out by the enemies of Afghanistan, the Taliban.

Through the sacrifice of his life, he left an enduring and honorable legacy in the history of jihad and resistance of this land. His martyrdom constituted a profound loss for the people of Takhar and for all those who believed in justice, unity, and peaceful coexistence.

Under the current circumstances of the country, the absence of such national, people-centered figures is felt more deeply than ever—individuals who, in the most challenging times, served as the voice of the people and consistently placed the public interest above personal considerations.

May his memory be honored and his soul rest in eternal peace.
