Conflicting Accounts Between Taliban and Pakistani Military Over Khost, Kunar, and Paktika.

The Pakistani military has denied reports of airstrikes on the provinces of Khost, Kunar, and Paktika.

Ahmed Sharif Choudhry, spokesperson for the Pakistani army, stated on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, that “no attacks have taken place,” adding that the military would take responsibility for any operations conducted. He also emphasized that Pakistani forces do not target civilians.

This statement comes as the Taliban reported airstrikes by Pakistan on the three eastern provinces last night, claiming civilian casualties. Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, released images indicating that several civilians, including children and a woman, were killed in Khost. Local sources also reported damage to a house in Kunar and several injuries.

The Taliban condemned what they described as Pakistani airstrikes and warned that they would respond at an appropriate time.
