Deadly Incident in Faryab; Family of Taliban Member Targeted.
Local sources in Faryab confirm that a Taliban member and his young daughter were killed in an armed attack in Pashtunkot district. The incident occurred yesterday (Wednesday, December 10, 2025) in the Sair Kata Labi area when the individual encountered an armed ambush while traveling.
According to sources, the deceased, named Noorullah, was riding a motorcycle with his wife and two daughters at the time. In the attack, Noorullah and one of his daughters were killed, while his wife and other daughter were injured. The Taliban have not issued any official statement regarding the incident.
The attack comes amid reports of increasing targeted assaults against Taliban forces in parts of northern Afghanistan.
