Faryab – The Taliban security command in Faryab province has announced that a 60-year-old man was shot dead by his 19-year-old grandson in the Khwaja Sabzposh district of the province.
According to a press release issued by the command on Friday, May 16, the incident took place in a shop in the Khwaja Sabzposh district market.
The press release states that the deceased was named Amanullah and was a local shopkeeper.
According to security sources, the man was shot inside his shop by his grandson, Minhajuddin, using a rifle and died.
The Taliban said that initial investigations have begun into the motive for the incident and efforts are underway to complete the case.
