KIEV – The leaders of Britain, France, Germany and Poland arrived in Kiev on an unannounced visit, reiterating their support for a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine.
The visit coincided with a Russian military parade in Moscow attended by leaders from more than 20 countries. The leaders are scheduled to meet separately with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The proposed ceasefire was first proposed by US President Donald Trump. The European leaders backed the plan in a joint statement and urged Russia to agree to it.
The Kremlin has not yet responded to the visit.
