At least four people have been killed and heavy financial losses have been caused in heavy rains and floods in Takhar and Badakhshan provinces.
Local sources in Takhar say floods in Warsaj district have killed a mother and two children and injured seven others. It also destroyed dozens of houses and gardens in the villages of Yaskin Payan, Yaskin Bala and Pakani.
In Badakhshan, local Taliban officials confirmed that floods in Raghestan, Khash and Tishkan districts of the province had killed one person and destroyed dozens of houses, farmland and gardens.
