Former military officer shot dead in the heart of Kabul.
In the latest suspected assassination of former military personnel, a former security force officer has been shot dead by unknown gunmen in Kabul.
The incident occurred in the 5th district this month, and the perpetrators were two motorcyclists who opened fire without any hindrance and fled the scene.
Reports indicate that the individual was previously active in the ranks of the security forces, and it is said that the attackers were affiliated with the Yarmouk unit of the Taliban.
Despite the announcement of a general amnesty by the Taliban, reports indicate that the persecution, threats, and killing of former soldiers continue. Taliban security officials have not commented on the incident so far.
