Local sources in Badakhshan province report that four people, including a woman, were killed and 10 others were injured in a clash between residents of Khash district and Taliban forces.
The incident took place on Monday, July 2 in the village of “Shahran” in the Khash district. According to sources, Taliban forces shot four people after clashing with local residents.
In response to this violence, local residents set fire to the district administration building and telecommunication networks in the area have also been down.
Although exact details of the cause of the clash have not been provided yet, local sources say that the Taliban’s discriminatory practices, exclusive policies, and humiliating treatment of Badakhshan residents have been the cause of these tensions.
