According to a statement released by the group, its forces targeted a Taliban intelligence checkpoint.
The statement indicates that the operation took place around 6:30 PM on Wednesday, January 6, 2026, near the police headquarters of the Surobi district in Kabul province.
The Freedom Front described the attack as a planned and operational operation, resulting in the deaths of two Taliban members and the wounding of another.
This comes amid a recent surge in attacks on Taliban forces across the country, which has inflicted significant casualties on the group.
The Taliban have not yet issued an official response regarding these attacks and the resulting losses.
