Freedom Front: Two Taliban members killed in Kabul attack.

The Afghan Freedom Front has claimed responsibility for the attack on a Taliban checkpoint in Kabul.

In a press release issued on Thursday, August 28, the front announced that its fighters attacked a Taliban checkpoint on Wednesday evening in front of the entrance gate of Bagh Babar, in the seventh district of Kabul city.

The press release stated that as a result of the attack, two Taliban members were killed and another person was injured. In recent days, the Freedom Front had also reported a similar attack on a Taliban checkpoint in Taloqan city, the capital of Takhar province.

The Taliban have not yet reacted to the incident. Reports indicate that in similar cases, the Taliban have harassed local residents after armed attacks.
