Residents of the Aviz area of Shekay district in Badakhshan province report that individuals affiliated with Fasihuddin Fitrat, Chief of Staff of the Taliban Army, and Maulavi Amanuddin, the Taliban governor of Helmand, along with a group of individuals transferred from Kandahar for mining, have completely destroyed the cemetery of the area.
According to local sources, this action was carried out despite explicit and widespread public protests, and the Taliban, with absolute indifference, ignored the voices of the local residents.
According to witnesses, individuals affiliated with the Taliban not only destroyed the graves but also exhumed the remains of corpses buried less than a year ago and threw them into the river;
