The Taliban Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned today’s explosion in Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital, and an attack on a military training center in South Waziristan.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesperson for the ministry, released a statement on Tuesday evening, October 11, 2025, expressing condolences to the victims’ families and stressing that targeting civilians and public facilities contradicts human values and Islamic principles.

Earlier today, a suicide attacker targeted a police vehicle near one of Islamabad’s courts, killing at least 12 people and injuring 27 others.

Following the incident, John Achakzai, former Information Minister of Balochistan, accused the Taliban of involvement in the Islamabad attack.

On his X account, he noted that prior to the explosion, messages from Taliban-linked social media accounts were posted, which served as warnings of the attack. Achakzai said the attack is part of terrorist activities carried out by Taliban-associated groups within Pakistan, aimed at undermining the country’s national security.

At the same time, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi urged the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to remain vigilant against provocative propaganda from certain groups and not allow ethnic or religious sentiments to be exploited to destabilize the country.

He stressed that the government and security forces prioritize citizens’ safety, and only through public cooperation can stability and peace be maintained.
