Faryab – Security officials in Faryab province say that two members of a family were killed and two others were injured as a result of a hand grenade explosion in the Dawlatabad district of the province.
The incident occurred around 2 am in a residential house in the village of Jaghata, Dawlatabad district.
According to the Faryab police headquarters, the hand grenade was kept under a blanket when it suddenly exploded.
Two children, Mansoor and Haroon, were killed in the explosion, and their father, Asadullah, along with another of his children, were injured. The health conditions of the injured have not been announced yet.
The reason for keeping the hand grenade in the house is not clear and security forces have launched their investigation into this matter.
