Harsh Statement by Iran’s Military: U.S. and Allied Ships ‘Legitimate Targets’.
Iran’s military has issued a sharp warning, stating that any vessel belonging to the United States, Israel, or their allies passing through the strategic Strait of Hormuz could be targeted.
The warning comes as military tensions in the Persian Gulf have sharply escalated, raising concerns about the security of one of the world’s most critical oil transit routes.
In a statement broadcast on Iran’s state television, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said that any vessel — or any ship carrying oil belonging to the United States, Israel, or their “hostile allies” — would be considered a “legitimate target” by Iran.
The statement emphasized that Iran’s armed forces are closely monitoring all maritime movements in this vital waterway.
It further added that Iran’s armed forces will not allow even a single liter of oil to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
The statement also stressed that if this vital passage is closed, responsibility will lie with the conditions created in the region by the United States and Israel, according to Tehran.
