Head of Afghan Support Organization: “Zalmay Khalilzad is not trustworthy”

After Zalmay Khalilzad welcomed the Taliban Prime Minister’s Eid message, the head of the Afghan Refugee Support Organization in the United States described him as “untrustworthy.”

“Afghans know that Zalmay Khalilzad is not trustworthy,” wrote Sean Van Dyver, head of Afghan Evac, in response to Khalilzad’s statements. He added that Khalilzad played a pivotal role in America’s failed policies in Afghanistan and the situation only improved when he was sidelined.

Earlier, Khalilzad had assessed Mullah Hassan Akhund’s message on the return of Afghans to the country as “positive”;

The message, citing the Taliban’s “general amnesty,” called on employees of the previous government to return.
