In one of the most horrific incidents of domestic violence, a man in Adraskan district of Herat province beheaded his wife and stabbed his parents to death at night.
Local sources confirmed the incident on Sunday and said that the crime took place in the village of “Gulatut” and plunged the area into shock and horror.
The details of the motive for this family massacre are still unclear and initial investigations are ongoing.
The press service of the Taliban’s security command in Herat also confirmed the incident, but declined to provide further information.
This is the second case of family murder in Herat province in the past 24 hours.
