Increase in Targeted Attacks against Taliban Members in Various Afghan Provinces.
Local sources in Farah province report that armed individuals targeted Masni Baloch, head of the Taliban’s Statistics Department in the province, on Wednesday. Masni Baloch was injured in the attack and transferred to a hospital for treatment.
According to sources, the attackers managed to escape, and their identities and motives remain unknown. To date, neither the Taliban nor any other group has claimed responsibility or responded to the attack.
This incident occurs amid a rise in targeted killings and attacks against Taliban members in various Afghan provinces. Recently, a Taliban official in Faryab province and a member of the Taliban intelligence unit in Farah were attacked and killed.
