Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated after gunmen attacked the Pahalgam resort area in Indian-controlled Kashmir, killing 26 tourists.
The Indian Prime Minister has threatened Pakistan, saying that India will identify, track down and punish every terrorist, their supporters and operatives. We will chase them to the ends of the earth. The Indian Foreign Ministry has also asked Pakistani citizens to leave Indian soil as soon as possible.
Islamabad has also announced that any attempt by India to block the Indus River will be considered an act of war. In response, Pakistan has threatened India by releasing a video of its fighter jets, saying that “the Indus will continue to flow. Both by divine command and air superiority.”
India’s National Security Council has put all security forces on high alert and the country’s Prime Minister has emphasized that the perpetrators of this terrorist incident will be brought to justice and their supporters will also be held accountable.
