Katz’s direct threat; Iran’s supreme leader’s next target.
Following the increase in tensions in the Middle East, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a clear threat against Iran and its leader on Sunday, July 27, during a visit to the Ramon Air Base in southern Israel.
Katz emphasized the readiness of the Israeli forces to respond decisively and declared: “If the threats against Israel continue, our long arm will once again reach Tehran with greater force and will also reach you [Ayatollah Ali Khamenei] personally.”
These harsh words from the Israeli Defense Minister show that Tel Aviv intends to intensify its military actions against important Iranian targets and specifically target the Supreme Leader of Iran.
Katz’s threat comes at a time when relations between Tehran and Tel Aviv have been very tense in recent years, and both sides have repeatedly accused each other of carrying out military and sabotage operations.
Israel considers Iran a major threat to its regional security and calls Tehran’s nuclear program and regional influence a serious danger.
Meanwhile, targeting Ali Khamenei could be the start of a new phase of conflict, the consequences of which will extend beyond the borders of the two countries.
With the nuclear talks deadlocked and sanctions tightened, these threats could be a spark for direct military conflict.
Tehran has not yet officially responded to the recent threats, but it has repeatedly stated that any attack on the country’s security will be met with a harsh and severe response.
Finally, the direct threat by the Israeli defense minister against the Iranian leader is a symbol of increasing regional dangers and the possibility of an escalation of the security crisis in the Middle East, the consequences of which could be extremely unfortunate for all countries in the region.
