Junbish Party: Recognition of Taliban by World Powers Encourages Terrorism and Weakens Legitimacy
In response to Russia’s recognition of the Taliban government, Junbish-i-Milli Islami Afghanistan, led by Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum, has issued a statement warning that with such actions, world powers are actually strengthening terrorism, bullying, and illegitimate structures in the region.
The statement states that recognizing the Taliban regime will have dire consequences and “the repercussions of this decision will soon affect large countries in the region.”
The National Islamic Movement Party has emphasized that despite these developments, it will continue its political struggle to support the people of Afghanistan.
Referring to the situation under Taliban rule for the past four years, the party expressed concern about the spread of poverty, social injustice, ethnic tyranny, and violations of the fundamental rights of citizens, especially women and girls, adding that millions of people have been displaced during this period.
The statement by the Movement Party comes as Moscow’s decision to recognize the Taliban has been met with a wave of criticism from figures, political parties, human rights organizations, and resistance fronts.
