Landmine explosion kills three Taliban in Kunduz city

Kunduz – Local sources in Kunduz province say that three Taliban members were killed and one of their commanders was seriously injured in a roadside bomb explosion.

The incident occurred around 8:00 pm on Tuesday, in front of the Spinzer Club in the third district of Kunduz city, when a Fielder vehicle and a Ranger belonging to the Taliban’s third security zone were targeted by an explosion.

According to sources, three Taliban members died on the spot in the explosion and the commander of the third zone was taken to a medical center with serious injuries.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but some unofficial sources suggest that the attack was organized by the National Resistance Front. This claim has not been confirmed by independent sources so far.

Kunduz city has witnessed an increase in guerrilla attacks and targeted bombings in recent months, most of which have targeted Taliban-affiliated forces.
