Mumbai Police Arrest Six Afghans with Fake Indian Documents.

Mumbai Police in India have announced that they have arrested six Afghan nationals on charges of illegal residence and use of fake identities.

According to police officials, the individuals were identified and arrested on Sunday during a coordinated operation in the Colaba and Dharavi areas by the Crime Branch.

According to police findings, the detainees had entered India between 2015 and 2019 on medical visas, but did not leave the country after the expiration of their stay and were living in different parts of Mumbai.

To hide their real identities, they had prepared fake documents, including voter cards and Indian documents, and were residing in the city under fake names.

Mumbai Police officials said that investigations are underway to determine the possibility of these individuals being linked to large networks of forged documents and illegal residence.

According to them, after completing the legal procedures, the six Afghan nationals will be deported from India and returned to their country.
