According to these sources, Mohammad Anwar, a former National Police officer who had gone missing about ten days earlier, was found on Thursday evening.
Based on available information, he was a resident of Andar district in Ghazni and had served in the National Police during the former republic in his home district.
Sources say his body was found in a water channel and showed signs of a violent killing.
So far, Taliban local authorities in Ghazni have not commented on the circumstances of the incident or the identity of those responsible.
