National Movement Social Commission: Recent Leadership Claims Are Baseless.

Dr. Sayed Najibullah Hashemi, in response to claims made by some individuals (Nizamuddin Qaisari) regarding the leadership of the party, issued a statement on November 9, 2025. The statement described the claims as baseless, irresponsible, and divisive.

Dr. Hashemi, who serves as the head of the Social Commission of the National Islamic Movement of Afghanistan, emphasized that in the country’s current critical situation, such actions undermine national interests and political unity and ultimately benefit the enemies of the people, weakening decades of struggle.

The statement praised the sacrifices and historical role of Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum, the founder and leader of the party, as a symbol of resistance, justice, and national unity. It further affirmed that Hajji Batur Dostum, the current leader, continues the path and principles of Marshal Dostum and holds legitimate leadership of the party. The statement stressed that the party’s legitimacy stems from history, the people, and its leader, condemning any personal ambition or divisive actions. It concluded that unity, loyalty, and steadfastness with the legitimate leadership are essential for the continuation of the party’s national and political goals.
