
National Resistance Front: Taliban District Six Commander Wounded in Kunduz.
The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has announced that two Taliban fighters were killed during a military operation in Kunduz Province.
In a statement released on Monday, 22 December 2025, the group said that three other Taliban members, including the commander of the Taliban’s Sixth Security District, were wounded in the operation.
According to the statement, the operation was carried out within the Sixth Security District of Kunduz city, in the area of Bandar Imam Sahib. The main target of the attack was identified as the Taliban’s district commander, and the operation was planned in a manner intended to minimize collateral damage.
The National Resistance Front emphasized that none of its forces or civilians were harmed during the operation. The group said such operations are aimed at confronting the Taliban and protecting public security.
So far, the Taliban have not commented on the incident.
