Pakistan Reports the Destruction of 115 Taliban Tanks.

The destruction of 115 Taliban tanks and military vehicles was the result of extensive Pakistani airstrikes across multiple Afghan provinces.

Official Pakistani sources report that the operation was carried out on Friday, 27 February 2026. They say it was conducted with high precision. Key Taliban centers, allegedly supporting Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, were targeted.

Pakistan’s military spokesperson, Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, emphasized that the objective of the strikes was the “complete weakening of the Taliban’s military capability.”

According to Chaudhry, at least 22 locations in Nangarhar, Kabul, Khost, Paktia, and Paktika provinces were targeted.

The operations were designed to deliver a heavy blow to the Taliban’s combat capacity and shake targeted areas.

However, independent details regarding precise casualties and damage have not yet been released.

In response, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid claimed that 55 Pakistani soldiers were killed during the clashes. He said the bodies of some of them are in Taliban custody. He added that 13 Taliban members were also killed.

These figures indicate that eastern Afghanistan’s border areas have become the scene of a deadly and expansive confrontation. One that could carry serious consequences for regional stability.
