Pakistan: Suicide Bombers in Islamabad and Waziristan Were Afghan Nationals.
Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, has stated that both suicide bombers involved in the recent attacks in Islamabad and South Waziristan were Afghan nationals.
According to Al Jazeera, which reported the news on Thursday, (November 13, 2025), several individuals have been arrested in connection with these attacks by Pakistani security forces. On Wednesday, a suicide bombing at the entrance of the judicial complex in Islamabad left at least 12 people dead and more than 30 others injured. Two days earlier, another suicide attack at a university in South Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, had also caused significant casualties.
Following these incidents, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif accused the Taliban of bringing the war into Pakistani territory. He warned that Islamabad has the capability to respond decisively and did not rule out the possibility of targeting terrorist hideouts inside Afghanistan.
