Local sources in Kabul confirm that Pakistani Air Force fighter jets carried out airstrikes on parts of Kabul and Nangarhar Province on the evening of Tuesday, 16 March 2026, corresponding to 25 Hoot 1404 in the Afghan solar calendar.
According to the sources, the Taliban Presidential Palace in Kabul, the Ministry of Defense building, areas in the Wazir Akbar Khan neighborhood, Kabul Military Airfield, and the intelligence headquarters of the Ministry of Defense in Siah Sang, Karte-Now, were all targeted in the strikes.
Witnesses reported hearing heavy explosions and continuous gunfire by Taliban forces in response.
