Reports of Explosions in Dubai Amid New Iranian Attacks in the Region.
CNN has reported that at least five explosions were heard in Dubai, the largest city of the United Arab Emirates.
According to the network, four of the explosions were powerful. Thick smoke was seen rising from an area near Jebel Ali Port, one of the world’s most significant transportation and logistics hubs. Videos circulating on social media show columns of smoke near the port, while other footage appears to depict an explosion consistent with the interception of an aerial target.
Dubai airport authorities announced that all inbound and outbound flights at the city’s two main airports were suspended until further notice.
These incidents occurred simultaneously with a new wave of Iranian attacks in the region. Iranian officials had previously stated that, in response to U.S. and Israeli strikes, targets in several regional countries were attacked. No official details regarding the precise cause of the Dubai explosions or potential casualties and damage have yet been released.
