Resistance Front Attack in Balkh; Taliban Police Chief Injured.
The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has announced that, in a nighttime attack, it injured the Taliban’s police chief for Kholm District in Balkh Province. In a statement released on Saturday, 29 November 2025, the group said the attack took place at around 11:40 p.m. the previous night in the Tepe Sheikhi area of Tashqurghan District.
According to the Resistance Front, the attack resulted in the police chief of Kholm District and one of his guards being injured, while several other guards were killed. The group claimed that none of its fighters were harmed during the operation.
The National Resistance Front has recently claimed several similar attacks against Taliban members. International organizations, including UNAMA, have also confirmed in their periodic reports that anti-Taliban groups continue to carry out such operations in various provinces.
