Rocket Attacks Target Baharak District Headquarters in Badakhshan.
Local sources in Badakhshan report that the Baharak district headquarters came under several unknown rocket attacks on Monday evening. According to the sources, the rockets were fired from a distant location toward the district center, causing fear and concern among local residents and Taliban forces.
At least two Taliban members inside the district building were injured as a result of the attack. The Taliban responded with retaliatory fire, though no additional details about the secondary engagement have been made available. The explosions were described as powerful, but no reports of financial damage have been released so far.
No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the rocket attack. Residents say that insecurity has increased in parts of Badakhshan in recent weeks, with more sporadic assaults being carried out against Taliban positions.
