Scientific Conference of Afghan Turks Held in Ankara

A scientific research conference of Afghan Turks was held on Saturday, 2025 May 24, in Ankara, the capital of Turkey.

The conference was held at the initiative of the Dostum Foundation and was attended by dozens of political and civil activists from among the Uzbeks and Turkmens of Afghanistan.

In this gathering, the participants examined the current situation of the Afghan Turks and the challenges facing them.

In addition to scientists and political figures from the Uzbek-Turkmen and Afghanistan, a number of analysts and researchers from the host country and other Turkic-speaking countries also attended the conference.

Emphasizing the importance of this conference, the participants described it as a new step and a new beginning on the path of unification and review of the situation of the Afghan Turks.

Bator Dostum, one of the participants in the meeting, stated that the Ankara gathering could pave the way for a new beginning for the Turkic people of Afghanistan and provide practical solutions for the future in light of past experiences.

The program was held in four stages, during which various topics related to the political, historical and cultural issues of the Turkic people of Afghanistan will be analyzed and evaluated.

Suggestions for solving problems and improving the situation of these groups will also be presented and discussed.

According to the organizers, a joint statement will also be issued at the end of the meeting.
