Spenta: Ashraf Ghani is a “mentally ill” person and his place is in a mental hospital, not the government.

Rangin Dadfar Spanta, former advisor to the National Security Council of Afghanistan, has harshly criticized former President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, calling him a “liar” and a “mentally ill” person.

This reaction followed the reposting of Ashraf Ghani’s remarks by former Vice President Amrullah Saleh on social media.

Spanta wrote in a message to Amrullah Saleh: “How long should we support a natural liar and a mentally ill person whose place is in a mental hospital more than the government? What has happened to you, my friend? Stop it for the sake of the homeland!”

Amrullah Saleh had previously reposted part of Ashraf Ghani’s statements on social media about the consequences of the Doha Agreement in 2020.

In these remarks, Ashraf Ghani criticized the “ignorance and ingratitude” of some political figures before the fall of the republican system and warned that “the isolation of the system will not lead to peace, but rather to civil war or unprecedented terror.”

Ghani also said: “Afghanistan may turn into a large prison without a roof. They do not understand the meaning of the peace process.”
