Strong Response from Zabihullah Mujahid: No Disputes Exist Among Taliban Officials.

Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, rejected reports and claims circulating in the media about internal divisions among the group’s leadership and ranks, calling them “false and baseless.”

He stressed that there is no internal rift or tension among the officials and members of the Taliban, which remains fully united.

In a statement, Mujahid said that all matters within the “Islamic Emirate” are conducted according to Islamic law, with strict obedience to leadership and internal cohesion.

According to him, remarks by Taliban officials about the importance of unity or differing opinions on minor issues should never be interpreted as genuine internal disputes or a crisis, and there is no cause for concern in this regard.

This statement comes amid repeated reports over recent months and years indicating tensions between the Kandahari faction and the Haqqani network, highlighted by both some Taliban members and media outlets.

In the latest development, sources reported that Sirajuddin Haqqani met with Hibatullah Akhundzada in Kandahar to reduce tensions and resolve internal differences, a meeting that underscores the persistent challenges within the Taliban’s internal structure.
