Taliban closes 200 local education classes in Panjshir

Local sources in Panjshir province say; the Taliban have closed about 200 local education classes for boys and girls in different areas of the province.

These sources told the media on Wednesday that these classes had been upgraded to the third and fourth grade level and now, with their closure, more than 5,300 students have been deprived of education.

According to the sources, this decision by the Taliban has also caused unemployment of 200 teachers and about 25 administrative employees.

Local education classes, which played an important role in educating children in the absence of access to formal schools, have previously been closed by the Taliban Ministry of Education in some other provinces.

This is while two days ago, the Taliban closed 267 local education classes in Paktia province and transferred their equipment to jihadi schools.
