Taliban cut off internet in Mazar-e-Sharif.
Local sources in Balkh province say that the Taliban have completely cut off Wi-Fi and cable internet services in Mazar-e-Sharif city since this evening.
According to reports, the action took place around 6:45 PM and the Taliban has not yet announced an official reason for this.
According to residents of Mazar-e-Sharif, the only way to access the internet is to use private telecommunications networks. The sudden internet shutdown has caused widespread concern among the people, as many daily, educational and commercial activities in the city depend on online services.
Analysts believe that with such measures, the Taliban want to impose further restrictions on the individual and social freedoms of the people.
