Around midnight on December 24, 2025, clashes broke out between resistance forces and the Taliban in the area. Sources added that the Taliban attempted to ambush resistance fighters, but they were prepared and successfully responded, prolonging the confrontation for some time.
Sources further report that this morning, the Taliban deployed helicopters and ground forces to Watirchi for monitoring and search operations.
