The Taliban’s Ministry of Interior has announced that it has installed CCTV cameras in various parts of Panjshir province. The ministry said the move was aimed at “better ensuring the security” of the people.
However, a number of Panjshir residents have expressed concerns about the violation of their privacy, saying their homes and land are now under Taliban surveillance.
The Taliban had previously installed thousands of security cameras in various cities, including Kabul and Pul-e-Khumri, a move that has been criticized by human rights groups
