Taliban: Returning investors to be exempted from paying taxes for five years

Abdul Salam Hanafi, deputy prime minister of the Taliban, announced that investors returning to Afghanistan from other countries will enjoy special privileges. He said that these investors will be given free land in industrial parks and will be exempted from paying taxes for five years.

Hanafi, who also heads the High Commission for the Resolution of Refugees, made these remarks at the opening ceremony of a refugee settlement in Ghazni province. According to him, these settlements are equipped with living facilities and are part of the Taliban’s policy to return refugees from neighboring countries, especially Iran and Pakistan.
