According to local sources in Ghazni province, the Taliban, under the so-called “Commission for Preventing Land Grabbing and Reclaiming Seized Lands,” have forcibly taken over people’s land in Jaghori district.

Sources confirmed on Sunday, December 7, 2025, that the group registered large areas of agricultural, residential, and market lands in their own name.

A letter issued by the Taliban in Jaghori indicates that several key areas, including Dasht Sar Loman, Tabassum Town, Moradi Town, the Technical High School, Ghajor Market, New Kariz Town, and other locations, are now claimed as their property.

The Taliban warned that no one is permitted to build or remain in these areas.

Sources emphasize that these lands have long been used by local residents, and their seizure has raised concerns about potential demographic changes in the district.

Previously, the group has also registered and seized public and private lands in various Afghan provinces, heightening worries over restricted property rights and social shifts.
