Local sources say the Taliban have dismissed around 100 journalists and employees of the National Radio and Television, mostly ethnic Tajiks, without prior notice.
According to the sources, these people were dismissed with insulting treatment, while some were newly hired through legal channels and were the breadwinners of their families.
Ghulam Khan, the new deputy director of the department, is said to have threatened employees not to speak to the media about this. He is also accused of censoring Persian words and removing Persian signs from the department.
The Taliban have not yet reacted to this. The group’s ethnic cleansing of government institutions continues
