 The Freedom Front said that five Taliban fighters were killed and three others were wounded in two attacks on Baghlan.

The front’s press release, published on Thursday (25 May), said that the attacks took place last night in the center of Baghlan. According to the statement, a Taliban Ranger vehicle was first targeted in the square of Pul-e-Khumri city, killing two Taliban fighters and wounding one other.

The second attack took place a short time later at the entrance of the Taliban Urban Development Department, killing three other Taliban fighters and wounding one other person. The Freedom Front also stated that the target of these attacks was “Mawlawi Noori,” the Taliban leader, and there is no exact information yet on whether he was killed or alive.
