The Taliban have stopped paying salaries to employees of three ministries.

Informed sources say the Taliban’s Ministry of Finance has delayed paying salaries to employees of the Interior, Education and Defense ministries.

The reason for this move is that a plan to reduce government employees has not been implemented. According to the report, employees of the Interior Ministry have not received their salaries for two months, and employees of the Education and Defense ministries have not received their salaries for the month of Asad.

According to sources, the Taliban Ministry of Finance has emphasized that until the Taliban leader’s order to reduce government and military organizations by 20 percent is implemented, the payment of salaries will also be postponed.

This issue was also raised in the recent meeting of Taliban governors in Kandahar, and emphasis was placed on accelerating the process of reducing employees.

Sources also add that this process has increased internal disputes among the Taliban and in some cases, selective treatment has been carried out.

According to some employees, the Taliban have targeted most of the former government employees for dismissal. So far, the Taliban has not shown any new official reaction in this regard.
