Three Afghan Taliban members killed in clashes with Pakistani troops.
Three Afghan Taliban members who had gone to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to help Pakistani Taliban were killed in a clash with Pakistani forces in Takhar province, local sources said.
According to the sources, the bodies of the three men were recently transferred to Takhar province. Two of them were from Sai Qurq area and the third was from Kandahari Qeshlaq, the capital of Khaja Ghar district.
The sources added that the men had gone to Banu area of Pakistan with their weapons and equipment along with dozens of other Afghan Taliban fighters about a year ago and were killed in a battle with Pakistani forces nearly a month ago.
Islamabad has repeatedly claimed that members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) are using Afghan territory to carry out attacks in Pakistan.
The Afghan Taliban, on the other hand, have denied the allegations, saying Afghanistan’s territory is not being used against any other country and that insecurity inside Pakistan is an internal matter.
