Local sources in Badghis province confirm that a man in Pahlawan village of Ab Kamari district brutally beheaded his six-month-old daughter.
According to sources, the incident occurred after the man first got into an argument with someone outside his home and then returned home in a violent manner. He first severely beat his wife and then beheaded his infant child with a knife.
Local sources add that Taliban forces have arrested the accused, but local Taliban officials have not made any official comment on the matter so far.
The incident occurred while similar cases of domestic violence and child murder by family members have increased in different provinces of the country in recent months, raising concerns among human rights activists.
