U.S. Military Suffers $1.9 Billion in Damage from Iranian Strikes.

According to Anadolu Agency, since clashes began on Saturday, February 28, 2026, the U.S. has lost or damaged $1.9 billion in military equipment in the region. This includes ground and air systems. It shows the impact of Iranian strikes on U.S. forces in the Middle East.

Most damage came from an Iranian missile hitting the AN/FPS-132 early-warning radar at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. The radar is valued at around $1.1 billion. Qatari officials confirmed the radar was hit and damaged. This shows Iran’s ability to target sensitive enemy equipment precisely.

On Sunday, March 1, 2026, three F-15E fighter jets were destroyed in a friendly-fire incident by Kuwaiti air defenses. All six crew members survived. The estimated replacement cost of these jets is about $282 million.

These incidents have raised concerns about the vulnerability of U.S. military assets. They show the importance of protecting sensitive equipment. U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran have also caused heavy financial and human losses for Iranians.
